Providence

The Providence Mission is located in a used construction trailer inside of the Port of Providence.

NESM's Chaplain in Providence, Father Ashley Peckham, is an Episcopal (Anglican Communion) Priest who works hard and is always on the move.

Security at the Port of Providence varies as to the current need, but you should be prepared to produce identification to the polite security guards who normally patrol the port. It's a good idea to have made prior arrangements with our Providence Chaplain, The Rev. Mr. Peckham, who often just stops by the trailer to pick up the supplies he brings aboard the ships.

From I-95, Take the Thurbers Ave. Exit, South of DownCity Providence. Turn towards the bay, then head right (south) on Rte. 1A. After passing the Providence Gas Co., look for the brown sign on your left for the Port of Providence and Municipal Pier. Turn in, and continue ahead. When the road (which is pretty rough) curves to the right, follow it. Look for the cement building witht he orange loading dock doors. The NESM trailer is in that lot.
